Welcome to Land Of The Sky Shrine Club in Swannanoa, NC. Shriners, as a fraternity, was started by Masons living in New York in 1870. A Mason can trace his fraternity back to the Middle Ages. The group in New York wanted a fraternity that stressed fun and fellowship. They were attracted to the dress of Near Eastern men. They developed this theme with the red fez as the official headgear. The fez is worn only by Shriners and then at Shrine functions. You must first be a Mason before becoming a Shriner.
Plan Your Special Event
We rent our facilities to individuals and groups for parties, conferences, dinners, and meetings. We offer many different options to fit any budget. Our goal is to be competitive with other venues in the Asheville area. You will find that our prices are lower, but our quality is excellent. We want to provide the best party or gathering to suit our customer's needs and wants.
We can discuss your type of event and make suggestions. Your suggestions and ideas will lead us to plan a fantastic event. All will be done to keep costs within your budget. Our customers choose to design their own decorations. We will open our facility to give you time to do this and go out of our way to meet all of your needs.
White tablecloths and napkins will be provided at an additional cost. Dishes, glassware, and silverware are provided. Whether you have used our facility before or not, I'm sure you will agree that we are an excellent choice for your event. Many of our previous customers have written to tell us how nice their experience was and how we met all of their goals.
Our Club is open to the public once every month on the last Saturday for Breakfast. It is available from 7:30 to 9:00 am. Donations are accepted. This would be an excellent time to visit and view the facility. Any Shriner would be glad to give you a tour.
We sponsor many activities during the year, such as a Car Show and a Golf Tournament.
